More Info Recovery at the Lake is an event that we set up each year to promote the recovery and volunteer services that affect recovery in our area.

Many people do not know all the ways in which our community is battling addiction.

We hope that after attending our event people will understand that there is hope and they will know places to go to find that hope.

The event is put on by multiple churches in our area.

It is not just for faith based programs, but for any group that is dealing with recovery in some format.

The last time we did this event was in 2008 and we had roughly 3,500 people in attendance.

This is great publicity for any program or service. Their will also be a barbecue cook off that day.

Food sold will raise money for House of Hope (a womens recovery home) and the Great Physicians Clinic (a free medical and dental clinic).

This year we will have musical acts from across the north east.

Steve Marshall will be speaking, followed by Kevin Derryberry , and Rick Burgess will end the evening as our premiere speaker.

With the greater number of churches and organizations joining in this year we are estimating around 6,000 participants.

The day will be a great outing for families.

There will be food, music, inflatables for kids, and carnival type games to take part in.

Our hope is that you can be part of this event with us.

Holy Smoke is designed to bring churches together with a Christian BBQ Cook-Off and fellowship, while at the same time, raise funds and awareness for worthwhile charities.

This year Holy Smoke is joining RECOVERY AT THE LAKE September is National Recovery Month and we want to start the month off with celebration.

The objective of Recovery at the Lake is to GLORIFY GOD, REACH THOSE WHO NEED RECOVERY and RALLY OUR COMMUNITY TO TAKE A PERSONAL INTEREST IN ADDICTION.
